
During the session of the Permanent Council of the International Union of Judicial Officers (UIHJ) and panel meetings, the delegation from the National Bureau of Enforcement discussed the ongoing legislative changes in the field of enforcement in Georgia.
Collaborating with international experts, they delved into the aspects of the new enforcement code project aimed at aligning and harmonizing national legislation with EU standards. The Georgian delegation familiarized themselves with specific models of enforcement systems in various European countries to enhance analytical activities, in line with the strategy of the National Bureau of Enforcement. As part of future cooperation, bilateral study visits with EU member states were planned, fostering the sharing of best practices and experiences.
The session of the Permanent Council of the UIHJ was held in Paris, where a summary of the 2023 activities' report was presented. Participants at the conference discussed data processing operations, privacy obligations, and data protection objectives. During the thematic meeting, special attention was given to issues related to cooperation between judicial officers and the media.
Discussions covered mechanisms for safeguarding the interests of vulnerable groups and consumers in the media coverage of enforcement procedures, as well as the protocol and rules governing media relations.
