
"Better Enforcement System Through Twinning" has been presented on 17 October at Courtyard Marriott Hotel, Tbilisi. The Deputy Minister of Justice George Vashadze, Chairman of NBE Nick Melia, Stefan Shtork - Representative of EU Delegation to Georgia, Embassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Netherlands to Georgia, The Head of the Enforcement Bureau of Sweden Sven Kilgren and international experts participated in the Presentation.
The Event has been opened by the Deputy Minister of Justice George Vashadze. The latter talked about the significance of the Project and added:
„In terms of efficiency enhancement of the enforcement system in Georgia, effective steps have already been taken lately. "Better Enforcement System Through Twinning" is very significant. Consultations and workshops, trainings, short-term missions of international and local experts, educational business trips that are considered by the Project will definitely improve the professionalism of Georgian enforcement officers and enable them to improve their operation and meet the European standards and requirements".
"Better Enforcement System Through Twinning" has been financed within the sidelines of "European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument" (ENPI) and it is being conducted by NBE of Georgia via cooperation with its European partners. The Project aims at improving legal and administrative system, developing human resources, growing publicity amongst the population concerning the enforcement system of Georgia and the NBE.
"Better Enforcement System Through Twinning" started on 1 September, 2011 and it will last for the forthcoming 18 months.
